Want to learn how to be a TV news reporter?

Or how to produce, film, edit and broadcast a story on your own Youtube channel?

This is the opportunity Sgript can provide for your pupils.
Two former BBC Wales News staff will spend the day with your pupils, guiding them on the journey from finding and creating to broadcasting a news story.
Journalist Rebecca Hayes and camerman Guto Orwig have decades of experience producing news items for television. In a fun filled educational environment, they will share their experience of researching, interviewing, scripting, filming and editing with your pupils.
The communication, writing and technical skills your pupils will develop having spent a day with Sgript’s tutors will be a valuable asset in their work at school and beyond. The workshop could also be useful in achieving a Siarter Iaith award.
And how about using the acquired skills to establish a media club at school...
Or to produce regular news items to be broadcast on the school website or your own Youtube channel...
Could you perhaps produce a termly, or annual news programme and broadcast it as a “Premier” for an invited audience of parents and governonrs...
Or is there scope to produce a short film based on a specific theme you're studying, and incorporate interviews with individuals from outside the school?
The possibilities and opportunities are numerous. The choice is in your hands, and can be tailored to suit your needs.
Who knows where a journey which starts with Sgript, could lead.
